Yayla Mountain Trail

Since 1996 a German Turkish couple is managing the rustic and a little bit anachronistic ranch. The ranch has five rooms with double beds and private bathrooms with a shower and toilet. On request extra beds are available (up to 4 people per room). The furnishings are rustic and functional but cozy and original. Mosquito nets and partly air condition are in place.
The ranch is located in 10 km from Manavgat and 15 km from Side. The Manavgat reservoir is in 4 km from here and the sea can be seen in 12 km.  Free transfer from the ranch to the beach is possible every day. Around the ranch there are numerous riding trails.

Day 1:

Arrival and probational ride; overnight stay at the ranch.

Day 2:

Breakfast, loading of the horses and drive into the highlands. After having  tea together with the inhabitants of the village we will start our tour to the mountains, along the laurel groves and ancient caravansaries. You will have breathtaking views into the valleys. You will relax with a bath of the waterfall after our first ride.
Overnight stay in tents.

Day 3:

Ride to Yayla (the plateau at 1600 m) and tea break with shepherds before we reach the Valley of Wild Horses (approx. 250 horses). Overnight stay in tents.

Day 4:

On the slip historical Silk Road that led in the direction of the Orient and is still used by shepherds and nomads, we will wander through the beautiful region. Towards evening trained western riders can help with capturing horses and cows. Afterwards we will come back to the wild horses and to our camp.
Campfire and special Turkish meal.

Day 5:

Because of always unpredictable events that let our hearts beat faster in the surprising Valley of Wild Horses, we leave it to chance either we spend a day here or we ride to the next old caravanserai for spending the night there.

Day 6:

In the noon we will reach the loading place for the horses and go back to the ranch. We will relax on the beach.

Day 7:

Before noon we ride through a shady canyon to the cool reservoir of Manavgat where we will have a swim.
In the evening there is barbecue and music in the saloon.

Day 8:

Transfer to the airport and departure.

Things to know

• Accompanying people who don't want to ride can book this tour as a jeep- (approx. 4 people per jeep) or quad-tour.
• Additional riding and beach holiday at the ranch can be booked.
• Mats and a sleeping bag you have to bring with yourselves
