Day 1 till Day 8
The mountains are within the reach and the sea is in the sight distance. In such a way you spend your holidays in an authentic western town. Of course for that you don't have to be a western rider. For children a separate program is offered. The rustic rooms with a private bathroom, some of them have air conditioning, and all of the rooms are overlooking the sea.
Since 1996 a German Turkish couple is managing the rustic and a little bit anachronistic ranch. The ranch has five rooms with double beds and private bathrooms with a shower and toilet. On request extra beds are available (up to 4 people per room). The furnishings are rustic and functional but cozy and original. Mosquito nets and partly air condition are in place.
Around the ranch there are numerous riding trails.
Day 1:
Depending on the arrival time you can make a small introductory tour that takes you along the herds of the sheep and into a small canyon. Depending on the season, there are many small waterfalls. But you can also relax by the sea. In the evening there is a welcome drink at the saloon.
Day 2:
We ride through the olive groves to a rocky plateau. From there we have a panoramic view to the mountains and onto the sea. In a village we will stop for a break. We will strengthen ourselves with Ayran and pita bread. The afternoon you can spend visiting an Oriental bazaar and to learn haggling there.
Day 3:
Through the canyon we ride to the türkiz-colored crystal clear reservoir of Manavgat. There we take a break for swimming. Then we gallop up the hill. From there we have a view on the ancient history of the area. With the dam in the background this is a fantastic photo motif.
Day 4:
The day tour goes through the villages to the waterfall of Manavgat. We refresh at the river and follow its course. We ride past a farm where the race horses are bred on. From there we gallop over the hills towards the reservoir. That evening we relax around the campfire and enjoy the view of the millions of stars above us.
Day 5:
We spend the morning on the beach and then we ride through pine forests into a valley with orange groves and peanut fields. Since we are accompanied by a pack of hunting dogs, we will notice very often that a hare crosses our path.
Day 6:
We ride along the paths of the ancient caravans. We feel as if time stands still. One has an opportunity to test the tölt of Rahvan horses. A crazy experience and you never really want to ride another horse again.
Day 7:
We drive by car to the nature reserve and visit either a stalactite cave or the Valley of the Wild Horses (only April, May, June, September, October). Who has more power, then can take a night ride.
