Non escorted tour: Partly you are travelling independently. You can choose your restaurants by yourself and you can decide how you will spend your free time. Everything is booked and organized - all tours, hotels, transfers, transport & domestic flights. On the scene of action there is always an English speaking guide.
Description:
This is a very varied tour. For acclimatization you will visit Cusco and Machu Picchu first. Then you will follow the Lama trek from Olleros to Chavin. Enjoy the magnificent countryside close to the Pastoruri Glacier. You will see Puya Raimondi. This plant is well known as "The Queen of the Andes". At the end of the tour you will discover the Santa Cruz Trek.
Itinerary:
1st till 6th Day
Day 1:
Transfer from the airport to your hotel in Miraflores, one of the best districts in Lima. Should the international flights arrive early enough, we have a plenty of time to explore the area, to change money and we will be able to get the first impression about the country and its people.
Day 2:
We will have a short briefing of the entire tour. Afterwards we will have a walk through Miraflores. In the afternoon the Lima City Tour is on our program. We will visit Miraflores, Los Olivos, San Isidro, the Plaza San Martin and the Plaza de Armas. This tour is dedicated to Limas's colonial period.
Day 3:
Transfer to the airport for the flight Lima - Cusco and transfer to the hotel.
In the afternoon the Cusco City Tour is on our program, inter alia we will visit Coricancha. During the Inca Period this was an important temple equipped with lots of gold. Also we will visit the cathedral that is allowed to use the flag of the Vatican. Then we will see Sacsayhuman, the most important Inca building close to Cusco and Tambo Machay, a water shrine of the Inca period. At 7 pm we will visit a dance show in the Cusco's Cultural Center. This show will be finished approximately at 10 pm.
Day 4:
Tour to the Holy Valley
Along the Urubamba riverside we will visit al lot of Inca buildings and local markets as there are Pisaq, Urubmaba, Ollantytambo, and Chinchero.
Day 5:
Tour to Machu Picchu, one of the touristic highlights in Peru
In the morning at 6 am we take the train to the village of "Machu Picchu", also known as "Aguas Calientes" its official name. In Aguas Calientes we take the bus to the citadel where we will have a guided tour. After that you will have enough free time, which you can spend for climbing up to the Huayna Picchu or for a walk to Intipuktu. From there you can enjoy the typical view of Machu Picchu.
Day 6:
Transfer to the airportFlight Cusco - Lima
Transfer Airport - Bus Terminal
Journey on a luxurious Moviltours bus to Huaraz
7th till 10th Day
Day 7:
3 Days Llama trek
Transfer Huaraz - Olleros (3450 m), the starting point of the trek. Hike to Sacracancha (4200 m) where we stay for overnight.

Day 8:
Trekking Sacracancha - Yanaschallash Pass (4700 m) - Shongopampa (4250 m)

Trekking Shongopampa - Chavin de Huantar (3140 m)
- Walking distance: 10 km
- Walking time: 3 ½ - 4 hrs

Day 10:
Day tour to the archaeological site "Chavin de Huantar"
(Resting Day).
11th till 16th Day
Day 11:
4 days Santa Cruz Trek
Transfer Huaraz - Cashapampa (3000 m) and Trekking to Llamacoral (3650 m).

Day 12
Trekking Llamacoral - Taullipampa (4250 m)

- Walking distance: 13 km
- Walking time: 7 - 8 hrs

Day 14
Trekking Cachinapampa - Vaqueria (3000 m) and Transfer Vaqueria - Huaraz.

Day 15:
Journey on a luxurious Moviltours bus back to Lima. Transfer to hotel in Miraflores.
Day 16:
Transfer to the airport in Lima and farewell.
