Russia, this huge, so close and yet still somewhat mysterious Euro-Asian multi-ethnic state is one of the most fascinating and diverse countries on earth.

Russia is twice as big as the United States, extends from the border with the Baltic States and Belarus in the West to the Pacific Ocean in the East, from the Arctic Ocean in the North to the Black and the Caspian Sea in the South. In its very different, broad, often grandiose landscapes, the diverse peoples live.
